Terms of use

The service

MarkdownifyWeb fetches a public web page at an address you provide and returns its main content as Markdown. It is provided free of charge, without an account, and without any guarantee of availability.

Acceptable use

By using the tool you agree not to:

• Use it to access content you are not permitted to access, or to attempt to circumvent a paywall, login or access control.
• Submit addresses pointing at private networks, internal services or infrastructure you do not control. Such requests are blocked, and attempting them repeatedly is abuse.
• Automate the service at volume, circumvent the rate limit, or use it as the back end of another product.
• Use it in any way that breaks the law, or that breaches the terms of the site being converted.

Content and copyright

Converting a page does not change who owns it. The text, images and code on any page you convert remain the property of whoever created them, and the conversion is provided for your own personal reading and reference.

You are responsible for what you do with the output. Republishing, redistributing or commercially exploiting someone else's content may infringe their rights, and that is a matter between you and them. We do not store, index or republish converted content.

Robots and site owners

Requests are made on behalf of an individual reader, one page at a time, and identify themselves in the user agent. If you run a site and would rather we did not fetch it, contact us and we will exclude it.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. Extraction is automated and imperfect: content may be incomplete, reordered or missing, and some pages will not convert at all. Do not rely on the output where accuracy or completeness matters — check it against the original.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service, including any decision made on the basis of converted output.

Changes

These terms may change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
